About Us
The Beginning
Hi, I am Katherine. The idea came to me during my career at one of the world's largest banks. Like many women in finance, I'd grown accustomed to seeing success paired with silent suffering.
Every morning, I'd watch my colleagues rush through the lobby, their shoulders hunched under heavy designer bags that cost a month's rent but caused constant pain.
In the elevator, senior managers would discreetly massage their shoulders, their expensive leather bags packed with laptops, documents, and the essentials needed for long days at the office. I was one of them.
Despite trying every luxury brand's "work bag," I found myself keeping pain relievers in my desk drawer. My supposedly prestigious bag, while beautiful, was turning into a physical burden.
Around me, ambitious professionals resorted to carrying unflattering backpacks meant for college students, sacrificing their professional image for basic comfort.
This isn't about creating just another accessory. It's about solving a real problem I witnessed daily in the corporate world – understanding that power shouldn't come with physical pain, and that sophistication shouldn't sacrifice comfort.
Because when you're building a career in the city, the last thing you should worry about is a bag that weighs you down.
Design Philosophy
During my years at the bank, I learned that true sophistication lies in the details that make our lives easier. That's why every element of our design speaks to thoughtful utility.
I wanted to create bags that understand the way we work – no more fumbling for your access card in the lobby, or digging through everything to find your phone before a client call.
What drives our designs? It's simple:
I believe innovation should solve real problems. Every feature in our bags comes from watching how we actually work – the way we move through our days, what we carry, how we transition from one moment to the next.
There's no unnecessary decoration, just purposeful design that makes sense.
The confidence piece is personal for me. In banking, I learned that feeling perfectly equipped changes how you carry yourself.
That's what I want for everyone who carries our bags – that quiet assurance that comes from knowing you have everything you need, beautifully organized and easily accessible.
Sustainability isn't just a buzzword for us. In my corporate life, I saw too many bags fall apart after a season or two.
Our pieces are engineered to last through years of demanding use. They're designed to be your trusted companions through promotions, career shifts, and evolving responsibilities.
Living and working in the city taught me that versatility is everything. Our bags understand the rhythm of urban professional life – they work as hard as you do, moving effortlessly from morning meetings to evening events. Whether you're heading to the boardroom or catching the subway to a client site, they adapt without missing a beat.
This isn't just about making bags. It's about creating something I wished I had during those long days at the bank – pieces that truly understand and elevate the way we work.
